Mini Marvels
Gratitude addition
A list of mini marvels I have experienced this week:
Recording Unexamined Me with Stephanie and Nicole - the love and laughter there is amazing.
Watching spring do her thing. Small buds, greening up the grass, taking the cover off the patio furniture
Sleeping dogs at my feet (versus jumping in my face - it really is an all or nothing situation with labs)
Soft music in the background
70 degree day spent outside
The sound of purring cats
The intact roof over our house that was narrowly missed by an EF2 tornado. Sure, this might sound bigger than a mini marvel, but truly…the chances that we would be hit versus not are a spread I’d never bet on. The minuscule elements and conditions that had to come together to both create and dissapate a tornado is math I can’t quite understand or phathom. Instead, I’ll focus on the roof, the sunshine, the warmth, the aliveness of spring and all our creatures living under this roof - safe for another day.
Today, I wish you many mini marvels and some medium and massive ones as well. Let them add up until you can no longer cradle them in your arms. Let them spill over and puddle at your feet for all to see. Perhaps give them a little stomp to spread the splash. Perhaps throw them up to rain down on others. Whatever you do, I hope you experience them deep into your soul.
